3 Tips to help you make a great first impression with branding portraits

San Francisco Bay Area, California | Branding portraits Branding portraits is a term used to describe a more relaxed natural style of headshot. A branding portrait shows off your personality, they can be taken indoors or outdoors and many times look like a magazine shoot. However for a profile picture sized at 400 x 400 pixels a non-distracting background and a focus on your face works best.  Here are some examples of images that work great as a profile picture. They are all friendly and welcoming. Are you ready for your headshot? But wondering how to look and feel your best? Keep reading for my 3 top tips to ensure you come away with a great headshot you will be happy with.  Top 3 tips to take a great new headshot Tip 1:  Wear clothes you are comfortable in. I’m not talking your Thanksgiving night stretchy pants or sweats, nor that 20 year old concept t-shirt from the first concert you ever went to. Unless of course concert t-shirt and jeans is what you wear to work daily. (Like me) What I mean is: if you wear a suit and tie, full make up on a daily basis and this is what you feel comfortable in

Manteca, California | Event photography I am lucky to be able to give back to the community through my event photography and even luckier to know people who put on awesome events to raise funds for great causes like the fight against cancer. Maddie & Emie Birthday Celebration

Morgan Hill, California | Event photography Quinceañera photography has always had a special place in my heart. It’s a celebration filled with tradition and family. And I mean who doesn’t love cake and dancing too? But it’s even more special when the birthday girls are humans I seen grow up, since they were beans in their mom’s belly and for family portraits along the way. I will admit however that “abuelita” (grandmother) was the shining star of the day. She beamed with joy, love and happiness to be able to celebrate the day with her babies. She is such an

My adventures at Inbound 22 in Boston, MA

Inbound 2022, in Boston, MA, was inspiring this year. Some of the highlights were listening to President Barack Obama, Viola Davis and my childhood hero Jane Goodall.

As a lifelong learner, not just as a photographer or as a business owner but also for personal growth I enjoy conferences and workshops. I attended from a Marketing perspective to learn more about Hubspot, however I definitely walked away being truly inspired to learn more and continue to grow.

Letia Competes in The Beauty and the Beast StrongMan/Woman event in Hayward, California A while back I was honored to have Letia call me and ask if I would tag along for a StrongMan/Woman competition in Hayward, CA and shoot some branding content for her, but mainly document her journey. This event was a qualifying event for Masters nationals competition which takes place during Olympia weekend. If that means nothing to you- Think The Super Bowl of Weightlifting. It’s a big deal!  I had an amazing Saturday at the Beauty and the Beast event organized by Mike West fitness.  The

It’s a Birthday Celebration in Yountville, CA

I am a huge advocate to the belief that a birthday deserves a CELEBRATION, especially when it’s a milestone birthday. If you are Latina then one of the biggest birthday celebration milestones of your life is your 15th birthday! And Latins know how to PARTY! If you don’t believe me check out the video at the end. I have known this young lady since she was just a tiny little kid, to see her becoming the young lady that she is makes my heart swell with happiness. But of course the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Her mom
